Yuchai construction machinery plays a pivotal role in the construction of the Nanning-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway

Nanning-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway is a key transportation hub project led by Guangxi to comprehensively integrate with the development of the Greater Bay Area, including Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau. Designed for a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the construction of this railway is of significant importance in promoting regional economic development and enhancing transportation efficiency.

Recently, we visited the Yucen section of the Nanning-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway, where the construction of the Beiliu Cross G59 Hubei Expressway Extra-Large Bridge, a major bridge project of the Guangxi Yucen Railway Section 1 Project, is underway. This bridge spans a total length of 7124.39 meters and represents a challenging and crucial component of the new Nanning to Shenzhen Railway, specifically the Yulin to Cenxi (Guangxi-Guangdong border) section. On the construction site, machines roar, and various construction teams systematically carry out the foundation construction of the bridge. Among them, the most eye-catching are two red rotary drilling rigs from Yuchai. As the engines of the machines roar, hydraulic motors powerfully drill through the hard surface of ground. Occasionally, the sound of rocks friction and cracking can be heard, indicating that the drilling has reached the rock layer.

According to the project team, the Yuchai YCR405E rotary drilling rig faced complex geological conditions during operation, including backfilled soil, fine-grained clay, and hard, slightly weathered dolomite. The construction required a pile diameter of 1 meter and a borehole depth of 45 meters. Additionally, due to the tight schedule, significant challenges were posed to the Yuchai equipment and service team. However, to their delight, the Yuchai rotary drilling rig demonstrated high efficiency and stable performance, ensuring the steady progress of the project. Over the past few months, the Yuchai rotary drilling rig has worked continuously for over a thousand hours, earning satisfaction from the client, who praised Yuchai equipment for its significant assistance. Initially, due to the harsh construction environment, the client was prepared for potential delays. However, as the Yuchai rotary drilling rig continued to surprise us with its astounding performance, the client gained increasing confidence in Yuchai's construction solutions and equipment. They expressed certainty that they would celebrate with Yuchai team upon project completion.

he Yuchai YCR405 rotary drilling rig is a giant beast specifically designed for rock drilling conditions. It features a drilling diameter of up to 3 meters, a maximum drilling depth of 99 meters, and a maximum torque of 405 kN·m. The entire machine weighs 120 tons and is equipped with a specialized telescopic chassis, maximizing dimensions and facilitating the project process. With high efficiency and powerful performance, it can swiftly and accurately complete foundation pile construction.
