May. 29, 2024
On May 25-26, 2024, the National Science and Technology Week Innovation Achievements Exhibition in Guangxi was grandly held at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center. This event focused on showcasing the major breakthroughs and significant achievements in technological innovation supporting modern industries in the Guangxi region during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
Invited by the Department of Science and Technology, Yuchai Heavy Industry participated in this event with their "D170 Electric Remote-Controlled Demolition Robot Research Achievement," displayed in the "Construction Machinery Section." Senior technical expert and project leader Wei Jiayi was present to provide on-site explanations.
The D170 Electric Remote-Controlled Demolition Robot, developed by Yuchai Heavy Industry in 2023, is a new product primarily used for demolition work and emergency rescue operations in construction, metallurgy, cement plants, tunnels, firefighting, and other work scenarios. It meets the requirements of harsh construction environments such as high temperature, high danger, high altitude, high dust, and high radiation. The robot enables remote control operations, separating humans from the machinery and avoiding health impacts and personal hazards to equipment operators caused by the working environment. The entire machine is only 780mm wide, has a rated power of 24kW, and an impact speed of over 1000 times/min. It can operate normally in severe conditions such as metallurgical furnace temperatures exceeding 1000°C and dust concentrations greater than 10 mg/m³. At the event, the Yuchai Electric Remote-Controlled Demolition Robot attracted many visitors with its compact appearance and high level of intelligent technology.
In recent years, Yuchai Heavy Industry has actively planned in the field of compact construction equipment for confined spaces. They have vigorously developed a series of high-end compact equipment such as demolition robots, zero-tail mini excavators, electric skid steer loaders, and electric small loaders, achieving integrated construction from demolition to excavation, loading, and transportation. Their goal is to solve industry-specific construction challenges, providing comprehensive solutions for multiple work scenarios, processes, and workflows, significantly improving construction efficiency, shortening construction periods, and reducing costs for construction units.
