Recently, the Yulin City Administration for Market Regulation (referred to as "the Market Regulation Bureau") organized a specialized lecture on overseas intellectual property risk prevention and control. This event was held to further advance the establishment of an overseas intellectual property risk prevention and control system in Yulin City, effectively enhance the ability of enterprises to prevent and control overseas intellectual property risks, and safeguard the high-quality development of the economy.
Representatives from 37 specialized, refined, and innovative enterprises across the city, 2 overseas intellectual property observation enterprises from the autonomous region, and intellectual property business representatives from various county-level market regulation bureaus attended the event. Yuchai Heavy Industry, which has recently been recognized as a specialized, refined, and innovative small and medium-sized enterprise by the autonomous region, was also invited to participate.
The lecture featured Gu Qinghong, the President of the Intellectual Property Research Association of Guizhou Province and Director of the Intellectual Property Dispute Mediation Committee in Guiyang City. Gu Qinghong provided detailed insights from the perspective of practical responses to overseas intellectual property disputes, including warnings and patent layout before expanding into overseas markets. He extensively analyzed cases of Chinese companies being sued abroad, focusing on topics such as risks and prevention of foreign patent disputes, risks and prevention of foreign trademark disputes, overseas exhibitions, and Section 337 investigations. His guidance offered valuable strategies for dealing with overseas intellectual property risks.Throughout the session, participants engaged in discussions with the instructor about strategies for addressing overseas intellectual property layout disputes, rapid intellectual property rights disputes resolution, patent protection, and more. The instructor addressed each query comprehensively.
